We’re excited to announce the Equilibrium Live Contest! After going live we’ll run a competition allowing our community to test its skills and earn generous EQ prizes. Our goal is to provide a stimulating and educational experience for everyone involved.

The competition accepts both individual and team participation. Similar to our recent Closed Beta, everyone (including Dotsama projects, communities, and our partners) can form their teams if they attract 20 members each. As such, the timeline for the start of the competition pretty much depends on how fast we have communities complete registration that is opening now.

Unlike the Closed Beta (which involved virtual assets), participation in the live contest will include actual cryptocurrencies. Users either participate individually or in teams, with each category having a minimum entry threshold. The competition assesses two classes of user activity; the highest %PnL single trade and cumulative %PnL. Participants will contest for $21 200,00 in the prize pool distributed among various competition categories.

Contest Format

The contest has two categories of participants: individuals and teams. There will be 2 contest categories:

• %PnL single trade
• Cumulative %PnL

Here’s a breakdown of the requirements for each category.

$20,000 Reward Pool

Participants in the single trade and cumulative PnL categories will receive exciting EQ prizes. Individuals will earn up to $500 worth of EQ for the single PnL and up to $2,500 for cumulative trading.

The top 10 participants will earn at least $50, depending on the category.

For team participation, the top three in each category will receive EQ prizes as follows:

Team allocations may be shared pro-rata individual PnL figures within a team.

Individual participants are to cumulatively receive $20,200 in EQ prizes upon the contest completion.

Statistics from the contest will determine our plans to hold future competitions with more EQ prizes, especially for repeat contestants.
