Launching this year, our mission is to accelerate your financial freedom through maximum ownership and access to your assets with the highest standards of privacy. Furthermore, SORA Card aims to provide the easiest fiat gateway to the Polkadot ecosystem and significantly increase adoption.

This means users neither control nor manage their assets and keys. Centralized decisions can impact a user’s freedom to decide what to do with those assets–just think about multi-day withdrawal freezes that often occur on centralized exchanges! Furthermore, these entities also store your personal data harvested during the KYC process and link it to your trading activity.

Users are forced to limit their freedom, asset ownership, and data privacy in exchange for the privilege of spending, earning, and buying, as well as using their hard-earned crypto and fiat in the same wallet. Other neo banking apps like Revolut are also centralized and limit crypto-based use cases.

SORA Card is a fiat wallet and debit card that will integrate into the Polkaswap DEX and the self-custodial SORA Wallet. Later on, the solution will be integrated into Fearless Wallet — the DeFi wallet for the Dotsama ecosystem. This will offer TradFi and DeFi together in one application, which will significantly improve the user experience and can grow adoption.

SORA Card will allow you to be your own bank, in a decentralized and self-custodial way, pushing the boundaries of what is possible within global regulatory frameworks.

Access to SORA Card, wallet, and IBAN will be offered by and to the SORA community, subsidized for the first 5,000 users you just have to pay usage fees conforming to standard market prices.

SORA Card will initially be available for EUR currency use on the Mastercard network, allowing access to 90 million merchants globally, expanding to other fiat currencies later on.

It is our goal to increase the user base and adoption of the Dotsama ecosystem, including all its parachains. We do this by offering the easiest fiat gateway to all parachain tokens via Polkaswap, with a crypto wallet, IBAN, and fiat wallet with debit card functionality, all under your control and accessible with your private keys.

The SORA network has the best live Ethereum <-> Substrate bridge (the HASHI bridge) and a new multi-EVM network bridge is currently being tested and will soon be released.
