Claiming & Staking On Sub.ID

Claiming & Staking On Sub.ID

As part of our funded treasury proposal, the Sub.ID team has added the ability to claim vested crowdloan rewards and created a staking dashboard for Bifrost, Moonriver, and Moonbeam, allowing you to stake their native tokens (BNC, MOVR, and GLMR).

Many crowdloans feature a vesting schedule for some or all of the rewards. Previously, these parachains needed to design a custom web UI to allow users to claim these vested tokens, or users had to navigate the polkadot.js web app to claim their tokens.

Now, simply open your Sub.ID page, scroll to the crowdloan sections, and easily claim your vested rewards with the click of a button. Along with this release, we have enabled the claim function on Subsocial, allowing users to claim their vested crowdloan rewards!

As part of our ongoing mission to support staking for every parachain, we have added support for those chains that use the collator staking pallet developed by the Moonbeam team. So far, this just means Bifrost, Moonriver, and Moonbeam, though Subsocial will also be using this pallet once staking is enabled. This means that you can now stake your BNC, MOVR, and GLMR from Sub.ID.

In order to stake on Moonriver or Moonbeam, you will need to log out of your Substrate account on Sub.ID and log in with your EVM account. Once you’re properly logged in, you will see Moonriver and Moonbeam under the Collator Staking dropdown on the left side of the screen.

We will continue to expand the options for staking on Sub.ID, and plan to build a comprehensive staking dashboard in the future, making Sub.ID the best place to manage all of your staking through the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem.

About Subsocial

Subsocial is a social networking platform built to support the social networks of the future. These apps will feature built-in monetization methods and censorship resistance, where users will own their content and social graphs. Built with Substrate pallets, Subsocial is a one-of-a-kind in the Dotsama ecosystem, and designed specifically for social interactions. These interactions do not have to be specifically social networking, as Subsocial can support apps like YouTube, Shopify, or even Airbnb.
