A New Era Begins: Subsocial Completes Migration from Kusama to Polkadot
We are thrilled to announce the successful migration of Subsocial, the decentralized social layer of the internet, from the Kusama relay chain to the Polkadot relay chain. This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in the development and expansion of the Subsocial ecosystem.
The Subsocial network is now running smoothly on Polkadot, with all features enabled except for energy creation. Our developer team will continue working to re-enable energy creation as soon as possible.
The migration process was a technical challenge, requiring effort and dedication from our developer team. We would like to express our gratitude to KILT, Zeitgeist, and a few ecosystem members for their help, and to our community for their support throughout this journey.
As we transition from Kusama to Polkadot, Subsocial is poised to unlock a host of benefits that will propel us into the next phase of our vision. As a parachain on Polkadot, Subsocial will have access to other enterprise level deployments on the network, allowing us to leverage XCMP to unlock novel use cases, and truly become the social layer of Polkadot, the next generation of the internet.
With the migration complete, our focus now shifts to building up the Subsocial protocol, ensuring it continues to evolve and provide our developer community with all the tools they need to develop cutting-edge, decentralized social experiences. We are excited to forge new partnerships, develop innovative features, and empower our growing community to connect, interact, and thrive in a decentralized world.
As we embark on this new chapter, we invite you to join us in making Subsocial the social layer of the Polkadot ecosystem. Stay tuned for our regular updates on our progress, upcoming partnerships, and new features that will shape the future of decentralized social networking.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to an exciting future in the Polkadot ecosystem!
